THE GOOD: The place always has a good vibe, everyone is always chilling out and having fun, the music sets have been great the couple times I've gone, with some good DJs mixing. The staff are pretty nice and are quick with the drinks. 2 drinks were $24 as a rough indicator, so not bad. NOT SO GOOD: People smoke in here, so if you aren't a fan it might annoy you. The toilets aren't great, and the smell does make its way out to the main area, so much so, they have incense burning outside it. You can be waiting a while to get in, I waited 20 minutes as its a small venue and you need people to leave first.

A great place for drink music and fun. Section 8 is located in the bustling China town with so many people. Great atmosphere, nice music and good drinks and cocktails. The place is very local and with lot of people. The drinks are not the cheapest but good atmosphere.

Cool spot in Melbourne downtown for a drink or a night out. I went quite early for an apero as it was raining and I didn’t want to keep city seeing. The place was flagged to me by a fellow solo traveler, who was advised to go there by a local. Loved the hip hop/ rnb tracks in the background. It honestly felt like Williamsburg rather than Melbourne. Nice staff and well heated outdoors. Only cons, not the best quality wine and a bit overpriced, but overall highly recommended.

Hidden away in a funky alleyway, surrounded by creative street art is this wonderful place to chill and enjoy some reasonably priced wines and cool music. Hamish and the gang will really look after you and make you feel right at home!
